This exercise should be performed with a dumbbell in each hand and the arms slightly bent. The movement should begin with the weights held together in front of the body, whilst stood up.

The art of Slimming down

Weight loss and muscle gain tend not to go together. Even professional bodybuilders tend to have an On season and an Off season. In the on season, they slim down by eating virtually no fat and greatly increasing their levels of aerobic exercise. In their off season however, they grow their muscle, usually under a small layer of fat. For muscle tends to grow larger and quicker that way.
There are three keys towards gaining muscle whilst maintaining a lean body. These are.

Watch your diet.
Regardless of what some people believe, exercise alone is not usually enough to shed great quantities of fat. Although it does help massively, it works best when used in conjunction with a low fat, Nutritious diet.

Perform high repetition sets.
If slimming down is your goal, then steer away from short heavy weight sets of exercise. The key to burning large amounts of calories in a given workout, is to perform prolonged, low weight exercises. With only a short gap between sets.

Keep it aerobic.
To slim down, you need to keep your heart beating fast, far above its resting rate. This means performing some aerobic exercise at the beginning and at the end of your routine. Also do not allow yourself to cool down during your workout. Far to many people reduce their potential gains by allowing themselves to indulge in several minutes resting time between exercises.
