Bodybuilding Tip of the Day

How to broaden your shoulders!

The Lateral Raise

This exercise should be performed with a dumbbell in each hand and the arms slightly bent. The movement should begin with the weights held together in front of the body, whilst stood up.

The arms should then be raised so that the weights are parallel with the shoulders and then lowered slowly. Be sure to lean slightly forward whilst performing this exercise, otherwise the Anterior Deltoids will take the brunt of the load. More

The Quick way to reveal those hidden Muscles

I know that you're probably thinking to yourself - CABBAGE SOUP! What the hell has that to do with working out and building muscles??? Well that is a good question. One that I will now endeavour to answer.
As fitness enthusiasts we spend a considerable amount of our time growing and shaping our muscles. Usually only devoting a relatively small proportion of our time to aerobic exercises. This is understandable as we have only a certain amount of time that we are able to spend in the gym - and we want muscle! However, although it is good to have muscle, its better if people can see it, rather than just the layer of fat that covers it up.
This is were cabbage soup comes into the discussion.
Now the cabbage soup diet has been around for a while. Being used by many people throughout the world to quickly lose fat as a prelude to entering a more reasonable dietary regime. It involves eating a special blend of soup (the ingredients for which are listed below) as many times as you like, for no more than one week.
The Cabbage Soup Recipe
* 6 large green onions
* 2 green peppers
* 2 cans of tomatoes (chopped or whole)
* 3 carrots
* 1 container of mushrooms (say about 10 oz)
* 1 bunch of celery
* Half a head of cabbage
* 1 or two stock cubes (chicken or beef)
* Seasonings - curry powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper or parsley (whatever you like to taste)
This diet contains virtually no fat or calories at all and is a good way of quickly shedding a bit of blubber so that you can see those muscles as they grow.
One thing that you should note is that this diet should only be undertaken for a week or so and preferably with some kind of vitamin, mineral and protein supplements. You may become light-headed at times whilst on this diet.
Take it from me. This diet does work wanders for revealing that six pack that you're sure you have. It did for me anyway.
